Colorado Pika Project
Hike to protect the pika! Become a Pika Patroller.
A partnership between Walking Mountains, the Denver Zoo, and Rocky Mountain Wild. More info...
The Colorado Pika Project is a research project implemented by community scientists across Colorado. Through long-term monitoring of pika populations, we are not only providing useful data to researchers and land managers, but we are doing so in a way that educates and engages Coloradans in conservation and the local impacts of climate change.

Join us as we hike to Pika Sites around Eagle County! We will hike to a specified site and complete the protocol of the Colorado Pika Project. If you have never participated in Colorado Pika Project then attending a training is a great way to learn the protocols.
Hikes are 2-10 miles and may be strenuous, spending multiple hours in harsh, high alpine zones (10,000 ft+)
